Sprinkler Fun

We were watering the yard last night and the kids decided to play in the sprinkler. Ian called it their waterfall!

Smithsonian Museum

Joe's sister, Amy, was in town Labor Day weekend and she and I took the kids into DC on the Metro and went to the Museum of Natural History. This is the museum with dinosaurs so it is one of Ian's favorites. Then he and Aunt Amy went on a carousel ride. What a day...trains, dinosaurs, carousel rides, and Aunt Amy!

Trouble!!

So I looked out my office door the other day, which looks into the playroom, and here is what I saw. Abbie Grace had taken over a box that Ian uses for his trains to climb up on! Is that a guilty face or what?!?!?

27 Weeks

WOO HOO...we are in our 3rd trimester! Little Evan is moving and kicking lots and lots these days. I had an ultrasound last Friday and he looks so much like Ian did in his ultrasounds it was unreal! The c-section is scheduled for November 12th! Only 81 more days to go!

1st Birthday Party

OK...so we had her first birthday party 7 weeks late but we finally had one, right?!? (Ian's 1st bday party was 7 weeks early so they even one another out!) Anyways, we had a small party for her as Abbie Grace is not a big fan of large crowds of people. She is completely opposite of her brother! She savored her cake and did not make a big mess of it, unlike Ian!

Finally Walking!

Abbie Grace is walking! She has been taking steps here and there but last Wednesday she took off and has been getting more confident every day. Today is the first day we have put shoes on her so she has had a few spills but will get used to them:) Her Grandaddy and Great Grandma were here so she was showing off!

Popsicles

Our summer treat is a nightly popscicle. Up until recently we have been feeding Abbie Grace hers but she has decided to be Ms. Independent and do it herself!

Kid's Bedrooms

All three bedrooms are officially done! Abbie Grace got a new "Princess" bedroom, complete with princess nightlight and canopy, and Evan got the baby bedding we have been using for the prior two babies.

Trying to Walk

Abbie Grace is trying really hard to walk but finds crawling so much more efficient!

Fort Washington

This past Saturday we went on a family outing to Fort Washington MD. Ian had lots of fun climbing all over the fort with his Daddy!

Skating Ian

Ian got skates for his birthday but I have not been courageous enough to put them on him until recently:) He did really well on level 1...

24 Weeks

Abbie Grace's 1 Year Pics

I took Abbie Grace for her 1 year pictures a couple of weeks ago and boy was it an experience. An hour and a half later we still didn't have a decent picture! The photographer tried one last time and we got a decent shot.

Paci Update - We didn't give in and she is now paci free! WOO HOO! It was a long first couple of days but we all survived:) She still fusses a little at night but no more than when she had the paci.

Ian Update - Ian went back in for more x-rays this week and the impaction is finally gone! YAY! Now the healing of his little body can begin. It will take about 3-4 months before he will have control over his bowels but at least we are on the road to recovery. He continues with the daily medication to keep his system moving plus his thyroid medicine but it really hasn't slowed him down any:) Please continue to pray for his body to heal and his fear of the potty to be overcome as this is what caused this issue to begin with.

No Paci!

We are trying to wean Abbie Grace off of her pacifier this week...we were ok all day yesterday until bedtime when she screamed for 25 minutes so I gave in! Maybe cold turkey wasn't the answer after all:) We'll try just giving it to her at bedtime and see how that works ...Here she is this morning looking distraught!

This past weekend we setup the water table for the kids to play in. They had lots of fun!

Baby Evan Pics

The appointment today went great! Baby Evan is healthy and on track. Here's a pic of him sucking his thumb just like his big brother!

It's a Boy!!

We found out today baby number 3 is a BOY! We are very excited...especially Abbie Grace since she won't be dethroned as the Princess! Do need your prayers though...little Evan is underweight so we are going back to a high risk dr on Thursday. Not sure why but hopefully will be something easy:) Will update you soon!

The Bow

So I attempted to put a bow in Abbie Grace's hair the other day and it was successful for as long as it took me to take this picture. As soon as the flash went off she ripped it out of her hair:) She really doesn't have enough hair to put a bow in but I was trying!

Farewell to Tanya

My wonderful friend Tanya and her family are moving out of the country soon so we had a pizza party for them. One of our great friends Marta was actually in town with her family from Louisiana so it was a great reunion for 5 of the 10 girls that have been together for quite some time. In this picture you will see that 3 of us are actually pregnant right now. There is a fourth who is pregnant as well but is living out of state right now. This may be an all time high for us for number of pregnancies at the same time!

All Moved In

Thanks to lots of wonderful family and friends we are all moved in and settled! Pictures and curtains are even hung on the walls! WOO HOO! I'll take some pictures soon of the house but just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your prayers this past week as we moved :). Here are so pics of the kiddos the last night sleeping in our old house.

Abbie Grace celebrated her first birthday last Saturday....in the middle of our move. So, we didn't throw her a big party but hope to make up for it in a month or so. We did give her a cupcake which she didn't really like...hmmm.
