39 Weeks

Only 5 more days and Evan will be here! Here is the last picture in the Evan Belly Pics series! Next you will get to meet the little guy! On Sunday we measured my waist and it was 48 inches...yes that is 4 ft around!

We go in on Wednesday at 5am and hope to go into surgery pretty quick after we get there but it will depend if any emergencies happen that push me back. Please pray that I will stay calm and that the delivery will be safe for all!

Joe's mom will be here with Ian and Abbie Grace. Please pray for them as well. Ian sorta gets what's going on but Abbie Grace is clueless! She just doesn't know how her world is about to change:)

Trick or Treating

Trick or Treating was a success for us! Abbie Grace was quite content to go to a couple of houses and then come home and eat her candy while I passed out to the other Trick or Treaters. She tried to help herself to more candy at each of the houses and tried to go into a couple as well! Thankfull they were neighbors!

Popie and Grandma took Ian around to lots more houses though (Joe is out of town). He came home with a full buckets and lots of stories about skeletons! Ian wanted to eat his candy when he got home too but somehow I convinced him that carrots were better! So he ate a bowlful of carrots after his big night! That will probably never happen again!

Neighborhood Halloween Party

We had a halloween party in our neighborhood this afternoon. Ian is Spiderman and Abbie Grace is a pig:)

Pumpkin Carving

Joe and the kids carved our first pumpkin last night. Ian did not like the feel of the inside of the pumpkin so he used a spoon to scoop it out!

Cox Farms

I took the kids to Cox Farms (http://www.coxfarms.com/) on Saturday. It is a 90 acre farm with lots of fun stuff for kids to do. We went on a hay ride (a bit bumpy for a pregnant woman) and Ian went down lots of slides. Abbie Grace was too small to go down the slides by herself and I wasn't about to go down them with her. (We want Daddy to be home for the birth of Evan!!)

Why you don't leave the room during dinner...

Joe is out of town for a few weeks so tonight I made the kids dinner and then ran outside to start the sprinkler. Here's what I walked back into:

Abbie Grace's Baby Doll

Aunt Kerry sent Abbie Grace a baby doll and stroller. She has finally figured out that she can't sit in the stroller and loves to carry the baby doll around by the head...not sure what this says about how she will do with Evan!

National Book Fair

We went to the National Book Fair this past weekend. The PBS characters were there as well as the Magic School Bus. Ian had a great time...Abbie Grace...not so much. She was not a big fan of the large characters! They enjoyed running around in front of the Smithsonian Castle afterwards though, where we had a picnic.

Singing Ian

Ian loves to sing! His favorite song these days is "If you have faith small as a mustardseed".

ABC Song

Abbie Grace loves the ABC song. We have many toys that sing the song and she loves to sit on the floor surrounded by them and sway back and forth to the song. She is such a funny girl!

Climbing...

Abbie Grace has discovered her love of climbing. She loves to climb on anything she can find...problem is her legs are too short to get on the downstairs couch so she just screams until someone comes and helps her!

Sprinkler Fun

We were watering the yard last night and the kids decided to play in the sprinkler. Ian called it their waterfall!

Smithsonian Museum

Joe's sister, Amy, was in town Labor Day weekend and she and I took the kids into DC on the Metro and went to the Museum of Natural History. This is the museum with dinosaurs so it is one of Ian's favorites. Then he and Aunt Amy went on a carousel ride. What a day...trains, dinosaurs, carousel rides, and Aunt Amy!

Trouble!!

So I looked out my office door the other day, which looks into the playroom, and here is what I saw. Abbie Grace had taken over a box that Ian uses for his trains to climb up on! Is that a guilty face or what?!?!?

27 Weeks

WOO HOO...we are in our 3rd trimester! Little Evan is moving and kicking lots and lots these days. I had an ultrasound last Friday and he looks so much like Ian did in his ultrasounds it was unreal! The c-section is scheduled for November 12th! Only 81 more days to go!

1st Birthday Party

OK...so we had her first birthday party 7 weeks late but we finally had one, right?!? (Ian's 1st bday party was 7 weeks early so they even one another out!) Anyways, we had a small party for her as Abbie Grace is not a big fan of large crowds of people. She is completely opposite of her brother! She savored her cake and did not make a big mess of it, unlike Ian!

Finally Walking!

Abbie Grace is walking! She has been taking steps here and there but last Wednesday she took off and has been getting more confident every day. Today is the first day we have put shoes on her so she has had a few spills but will get used to them:) Her Grandaddy and Great Grandma were here so she was showing off!
